Facials have always been more of a self care necessity than a relaxing luxury for me. Ever since I was a teen I have been getting regular facials to help maintain and care for my skin. Over the years my skincare needs have changed, my facials now are less concerned with blemish fighting and deep cleansing and more focused on hydration, and anti-aging. Pregnancy and nursing did a number on the elasticity and hydration levels of my skin and I am now always working to replenish that. Between work, taking care of a crazy toddler and life in general I can't always make it to the spa for a monthly facial. Once a week (usually on a Sunday night) I give myself a mini at home facial to maintain my skin's radiance. It's a special ritual that helps me start the week feeling fresh and bright!

I start by mixing a little In Fiore Lustra Illuminating Floral Essence oil cleanser in my palm with some Black Chicken Complexion Polish  to form an exfoliating balm. I gently massage this all over my face to help remove dead skin.

While my exfoliating mix is still on my face I add a few pumps of In Fiore Treate Gnetle Cleaning Base and massage it all in to help wash everything away. I then rinse for a good few minutes first with warm water, then with cold to help tighten my pores.

Next I apply a thick layer of Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask and watch TV for half and hour while it works it's magic. This mask has been a favorite of mine for years. It leaves my skin instantly glowy and fresh looking.

Finally I rinse off the first mask and apply a thick layer of Tata Harper Moisturizing Mask  to feed my skin with tons of hydration. I go to sleep with this mask on and wake up to fresh, hydrated glow skin!
