When I was pregnant with Hermione I had some very significant and unpleasant swelling in my feet. The last few weeks I couldn't be on my feet for more than 20 minutes without them looking like loaves of bread. It was unattractive and uncomfortable to say the least. Fortunately, shortly after giving birth my feet went back to their normal size. However, due to all of the swelling and extra fluid they do not feel the same as they used to. I do not have the articulation of movement in my feet that I once had and they get tired and feel painful much more often. As a mom tired and painful feet are a major, major nuissance. I spend most of the day on my feet walking Hermione to and from classes, standing in the kitchen cooking, or running around playing. Sometimes it feels like it's 3pm before I sit down for the first time.
I recently discovered these Yamuna Foot Wakers which have helped my tired, sluggish feet immensely. In only five minutes or so a day I am able to massage my feet, wake them up, and help relive some of the tension living there. They come with super simple exercises you can do and I have to say they actually feel quite good! I keep my foot wakers in the bathroom and stand on them while Hermione is in the tub. Two birds. One stone. Done!
