Brussels Sprouts Hack
While I am not doing much fancy cooking these days, I am still constantly preparing simple vegetables for my girls. They both love veggies and I always have a bunch of raw and cooked options ready to go for lunches and dinners.
Recently Portia has become obsessed with brussels sprouts. She tried them for the first time at a restaurant with some of our friends and now she can't get enough!
A girlfriend recently asked me if I had a trick for cooking brussels. I do! The key is to pre-heat the pan! While you are washing, chopping, and tossing your brussels in EVOO and sea salt (I like to halve them) pre-heat your oven to 400 with the pan you are going to use inside. Then toss the brussels onto the hot pan and roast for 20-25 mins or so. The hot pan will make them crisp up on the outside. So so good!
